Day 1. Welcome to Washington, D.C.
Touch down in the nation's capital and make your way to your hotel to check in and get settled. Tonight, celebrate your first night in D.C. with a delicious dinner - the city has no shortage of amazing restaurants and you can find any type of cuisine imaginable!
Day 2. Washington, D.C.
Spend today in the heart of D.C., exploring the area around the National Mall. There are more museums than you could ever visit in one trip, so be sure to make a plan ahead of time and visit those you're most interested in. Some of the most popular choices include the National Museum of Natural History, the National Gallery of Art, the National Air and Space Museum and the Museum of American History. This evening, enjoy a guided tour to see some of the capital's most famous monuments illuminated in all their glory. Don't forget your camera!
Day 3. Washington, D.C.
Today, return to the Mall area and take a long walk from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial and around the Tidal Basin. Spend time visiting the Jefferson Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial ("The Wall"), the FDR Memorial and more. If you happen to be visiting in late March/early April, you won't want to miss the stunning cherry blossoms in this area. 3,000 cherry blossom trees were gifted to Washington, D.C. in 1912 from the mayor of Tokyo. The city celebrates them each year with a 3-week festival.
Day 4. Depart Washington, D.C.
Say goodbye to the capital city as you make your way to the airport for your flight home.
